피아니스트이자 작곡가, 편곡가, 그리고 밴드리더인 스리슬리는 한국 출신으로, 11세에 KBS (한국방송공사)에서 쇼팽의 즉흥환상곡을 연주하며 솔로 피아니스트로 데뷔했습니다. 그녀는 한국의 경희대학교 대학원에서 재즈 음악 석사 학위를 취득했으며, 버클리 음악대학에서 월드 투어 전액 장학금을 수여받았습니다. 스리슬리가 한국에서의 성공적인 경력을 뒤로하고, 라틴 아메리카 음악을 공부하기 위해 14시간의 긴 여정을 선택한 것은 그녀의 음악에 대한 변함없는 헌신을 잘 보여줍니다.
스리슬리의 리더십 능력은 한국에서 예술 감독으로서 약 40명의 음악가와 탭 댄서들을 관리하며 모든 공연을 지휘하고 직접 공연에도 참여했던 경험에서 드러납니다. 그녀는 또한 버클리 글로벌 재즈 연구소와 버클리 재즈 및 젠더 정의 연구소의 일원으로, 그래미상 수상자인 피아니스트 겸 작곡가 다닐로 페레즈와 유명 드러머 테리 린 캐링턴의 지도하에 활동하고 있습니다.
스리슬리는 권위 있는 잭슨빌 재즈 피아노 콩쿠르에서 결선 진출자로 선정되었으며, 버클리의 연례 커리어 잼에서 작곡가로서 영예를 얻었습니다. 또한, 찰스턴 국제 음악 콩쿠르에서 20세기 음악 부문 1등상을 수상했습니다. 디트로이트 재즈 콤보 콩쿠르 결선 진출자로 선정되었고, 그녀는 더티 도그 재즈 카페와 디트로이트 재즈 페스티벌의 미드타운 애프터 아워 시리즈에서 공연했습니다.
스리슬리의 예술적 철학은 인간 관계의 중요성을 중심으로 하며, 공동 창작에 대한 깊은 존경심이 그녀의 창작 표현의 핵심에 있습니다.
